COATING

A semi-permanent protective sheen from less than a micron to a few microns thick that aids to protect your vehicle from the elements.

 

And depending on the grade, the coating retards the elemental effects of bird/bat excrement & traffic film build-up, feels smooth to the touch, and tends to be cleaner than cars that aren’t coated.

Vehicle Coatings are either Glass (SiO2), Ceramic (SiC), and recently, Graphene (rGO).

Graphene-based coats (not to be confused with graphene-infused coats) tend to give the best performance characteristics.

 

Coating Performance Characteristics include:

      • Water Spot Performance or low surface tension
      • Chemical Resistance
      • Durability
      • Slickness

Since coats form a semi-permanent bond with your paint (top-coat/”lacquer”), prepping the layers beneath, properly, will bring out the best out of your investment.

 

Paint Correction is the process of eradicating or minimizing defects on the paintwork (top-coat). Defects include swirls, holograms, minor scratches and water spots.

Our coating offerings have been vigorously tested. inhouse and then in real-life scenarios, before they are selected as an offering.

 

When you coat with us, we offer Multi-Stage Paint Correction, measuring the paint thickness before and in-process, to bring out the best for your drive.

As with everything in life, coatings, too need to be maintained regularly.

 

Coatings do prolong the frequency of corrective action (washes) due to interactions with the elements when you drive, as opposed to Wax or other Sealants.

 

In Singapore, a weekly, or at worst, a fortnightly basic wash is all that is required to ensure your coats last beyond their rated duration.

 

Where and how you wash is important to ensure that you prolong the longevity of the coat.

 

For this reason, we recommend only professional Car Groomers.
